Background

The Merseyriders group ran bike nights at the Britannia Inn café in Otterspool, and I went along with a bunch of mates every Wednesday — from the very first night until the last one, on 27 July.

Every week I photographed the bikes that turned up. Coming back to the same place, week after week, is where I got most of my experience.

The very first night, I met the people who helped me get to where I am now.

What came next

One of them was Max — the guy with the purple motorbike — who got me onto my first music video shoot. After that, I started growing fast as a photographer.
